Bürstner is upgrading the Ford Transit based Lineo camper van, launched only recently in March 2022, with "sleeping extensions" integrated on both sides as a standard feature. The Kehl-based motorhome manufacturer is therefore the first in the industry to present a rear transverse bed that is over two metres long in a camper van. It is integrated into a particularly homely and comfortable "wohnfühl" home away from home habitation design.
Kehl. When the new 2023 season starts, tall Bürstner Lineo C 590 buyers can look forward to particularly outstanding sleeping comfort, as the motorhome manufacturer Bürstner from Kehl in Germany is the first manufacturer to construct its new Ford Transit based Lineo with rear "sleeping extensions" as a standard feature on both sides, integrated into the homely "wohnfühl" home away from home habitation design that is typical for the brand. These extensions now make it possible to integrate an XXL-format rear transverse bed measuring 201 x 145 cm.
This optimisation increases the sleeping comfort for taller tourers and creates more space in the rear, and not only visually. In combination with a headroom height of 199 cm, it makes the vehicle perfect for taller people.
The extension is hardly visible from the outside, as Bürstner has integrated these "sleeping extensions" almost invisibly into the vehicle's overall design.
"With our choice of compact camper vans, we are also increasingly appealing to younger target groups. Our buyers now tend to be an average 180 cm tall and want to sleep in a comfortable and healthy way even when they are touring," says Bürstner's product manager for the camper van area Carolin Gebhardt. "This extension is an additional decisive argument for the decision to purchase, and I am delighted that we are the first to be able to offer such sleeping dimensions in a camper van with a comfortable, homely and warm 'wohnfühl' home away from home ambience."
Brief look back: Bürstner already launched the Lineo in March 2022 as the first model in its range of camper vans based on a Ford Transit. At the time, still with the usual standard bed size. The Lineo is available in a range of finishes and is equipped with a 128 bhp engine with manual transmission, crosswind assist, traction control, a sliding door on the right-hand side and glazed and heated rear doors.
Inside, the Lineo offers Bürstner's typical "wohnfühl" home away from home feel wherever you look. The Lineo C 590 features a comfortable lounge in the front area, a kitchen and a washroom in the middle of the vehicle, and a large transverse bed at the rear. The habitation space feels generous thanks to an unobstructed sightline. A particularly unusual feature of this model range is the double floor that safely houses the pipework. At the same time, it provides storage space in the rear of the vehicle that is easy to load with the aid of additional storage tubs. Special highlight: The space between the two floor layers is heated. Like some of Bürstner's other model ranges, the Lineo features the Brava interior design option: Modern furniture and surface finishes in a mix of wood and a warm, light, contemporary Sand Grey; there are also three homely upholstery fabrics to choose from. Several optional extra packs are also on offer.
This new Lineo will be available from Bürstner specialist retailers in Germany from mid-November onwards. The Lineo C 590 will be presented to the public for the first time at the Caravan Salon 2022 Düsseldorf in Hall 6 at Stand D03.
